Now, to take this seriously (thereby missing the point), I think that since their shows are about staying alive, they’d work together. Also, “Survivorman” did an episode with a second survivor, so he’s already demonstrated teamwork skills.
It only just occurred to me that you mean “off-camera, without their respective crews around for backup.” That may not need clarifying, but just in case.
Actually, there’s a way to play out the “kill and eat each other” scenario literally: Bear bites off part of Survivorman’s arm, Survivorman kills Bear in his sleep, Survivorman eats Bear and dies of rabies.
